What is Balance Board Yoga?
When you’re not on our floating studio, and as part of your Escape, we’re very excited to introduce you to the fun and innovative practice of Yoga on specially designed Balance Boards.
Balance boards closely replicate the instability of Yoga on a SUP, and our intention for the use of our balance boards is twofold:
Firstly, we believe that the continuation of practicing Yoga on a challenging unstable surface will enhance the enjoyment and progression of your SUP Yoga practice whilst with us.
Secondly, we’re so passionate about the enhanced benefits of Yoga when your balance is challenged! When you leave us, we want you to be able to continue your journey regardless of the accessibility of SUP Yoga classes near you. Having a balance board in your home will prove to be much easier than having a lake or pool in your home!
So, we’ll teach you the basics of how to use a balance board, and how you can use it to accommodate your growing ability. With your balance challenged, you’ll have the opportunity to tap into a different sense of focus and to identify your varying physical & mental strengths & weaknesses.
You’ll learn to use muscles you’ve never felt before in order to connect your body and mind to a slower pace of movement in order to become more aware and stay present.
And should you love it as much as we do, you’ll be able to purchase your own balance board & use it from the comfort of your own home!
