What is SUP Yoga?
Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga encourages us to stay fully present and in the moment. If you with us on our W15 Escape Sup Yoga Retreat or on one of our SUP Yoga Sri Lanka Experience days you’ll surrounded by luscious palm trees and the healing energy of water. You’re slowly guided through your practice by our qualified SUP Yoga teacher Magda . With a strong emphasis on correct alignment and the engagement of all your core muscles, you’ll learn to find your balance in natures ever changing element.
The key aim of your practice will be to develop and maintain a connection to your breath and with the flowing movement of the water beneath you. Allow it to empower and invigorate you and you will soon find your balance and a sense of peace. And don’t forget… you’ll be having fun! Find the joy in letting go and should you fall, find gratitude in the cool waters that surround you.
So all you have to do is relax, unwind and let nature and Magda take care of the rest.
We cater for all levels of Yoga and Stand Up Paddleboard experience and Magda will provide variations that will assist & challenge you. All we ask is that you’re comfortable in the water & have the ability to swim a minimum 25m. The depth of the water is waist depth and you’ll be able to stand in our lake should you fall.
Classes will take place on one of Sri Lanka’s magical lagoons. And as part of the growing BOGA YOGA family, you’ll be swapping your mats for specifically designed & shaped SUP Yoga Boards that will provide the ultimate balance and stability for your practice.
